Alex Stronach

Managing Director/ Principal Accredited

Exercise Physiologist

Qualifications: Masters of Clinical Exercise Physiology (Rehabilitation), Bachelor of Applied Science (Sport & Exercise Science)

Specialist areas/areas of interest: Exercise for the management of Osteoporosis and falls prevention; rehabilitation for knee injuries and low back pain.

Hobbies: I love all things football, especially playing for our local South coast team – Southern Branch FC. I love summer on the coast, just as much as I love snowboarding in the winter. Recently, I’ve found a new hobby in hiking. I also love to travel, spend time with my family and friends, and of course my sausage dog, Dash!

Jess Hopkins

Accredited Exercise Physiologist

Qualifications: Bachelor of Exercise Science & Rehabilitation at the University of Wollongong in 2015

Specialist areas/areas of interest: I am particularly interested in neurological conditions such as Parkinson’s disease and Multiple Sclerosis – I hope to continue building my knowledge and experience with these conditions in the future and establishing new ways that exercise can help manage these conditions. Due to my sporting background I also have a special interest in sporting rehabilitation and conditioning.

Hobbies: Watching or playing sport of any kind, my favourite part of Summer has always been going to watch the tennis at the Australian Open or to watch Australia play cricket. Backyard cricket/hockey with my family and friends has always been a staple in my household and is usually very competitive with broken windows and tears occurring regularly over the years.

Swimming is my passion, I grew up swimming competitively for 10 years and still love to train in the pool when I get a chance.

I love travelling, a highlight for me so far was watching the New York Rangers play ice hockey at Madison Square Garden. Japan is next on my list of places to go!!

Bridie Groenen

Accredited Exercise Physiologist

Qualifications: Bachelor of Exercise and Sports Science, Grad. Dip. Clinical Exercise Physiology, University of Ballarat

Specialist areas/areas of interest: Chronic Disease management. Specifically, aiding people to better understand their condition/s and how this may impact upon their ability to exercise safely as well as how exercise can be used to enhance their management. I am passionate about making exercise a part of people’s everyday lives, not letting people feel like a slave to exercise and reaching their goals.

Hobbies: I enjoy spending time with friends and family, especially getting outside and with my furry four-legged family member. I am a netballer and a horse rider at heart, although I rarely get to ride these days. I was a runner in a past life and can appreciate the hard work that goes into training for individual sports.
